Caring for Cashmere and other quality knitwear
You have just invested in a garment made from the worlds most luxurious fibre cashmere.
By following our after-care advice below, you can be sure that your garment will give you many years of satisfaction.
After you have worn the garment a few times, you may find small balls of fibre forming on the surface. These are know as pills, and are formed by the loose fibre tangling together in places where your garment is subjected to friction during wear. These can be easily removed using a cashmere comb of defuzzit device.
By removing the pills in this way, the garment will consolidate and soften in handle it will actually improve with age, if looked after with care.
For knitted products
Hand wash in lukewarm water using a quality shampoo or special cashmere shampoo. Gently squeeze the suds through the garment taking care not to rub or ring the garment. Rinse and squeeze in clean lukewarm water. Dry flat, ideally on a clean dry towel, away from any direct sources of heat such as radiators or sunlight Never under any circumstance, tumble dry. When the garment is fully dry, press lightly with a cool iron if needed.
For woven products
We advise you follow the manufacturer's recommendations, but normally dry cleaning is all it takes.
